Drives Direct are very aware of their environmental responsibilities and actively encourage use of recycled materials to minimise their carbon footprint. Whenever possible we avoid excavation of existing materials and deliver our services as cleanly and efficiently as possible.

Our Milestone products are an excellent example of where we have worked with environmental planners to develop a process to meet today’s Green Directives. The surfacing of Brynkinalt Business Park in our Milestone Gravel System enabled the client to obtain grant funding from The Welsh Development Agency, fulfilling their environmental criteria whilst also being both hard wearing and aesthetically pleasing.

The picture opposite shows Milestone Gravel being used for a new build across a green field to provide a safer access for the owners. Cheshire County Council planning department were delighted with the proposal of a porous surfacing as the design solution for the new driveway.
