Grouted Macadams
Our grouted macadams are especially advantageous in areas subjected to heavy use. For example busy farmyards or accesses, commercial units, industrial areas and break of bulk points. The beauty of this system is that the specification can be tailor made to suit the site requirements. The technology behind the process is to lay an open graded macadam receiving coat, into which a cementitious hard wearing grout is vibrated, penetrating down through the macadam matrix.
The end product provides the strength of concrete, but with much greater flexibility. And depending on expected usage, the macadam receiving coat can be laid at varying thicknesses, and the penetrative grout can be vibrated through to the most suitable depth for purpose. This product, which is unique to the group, is considered by many to be the most versatile and cost effective surfacing of its type in the UK.
